The Episcopal Church of Cuba for the first time names first woman bishop
The first woman to take a Bishop in Cuba is the Rev. Mary Griselda Delgado . Yesterday the Cuban Episcopal Church hosted this great event in the Episcopal community.
The new bishop, delivered a sermon of faith and called upon the community with hope for the future.
Local media reported that the welcoming ceremony was Sunday at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Havana. The meeting was attended by members of the Catholic Bishops of the country and abroad, including the United States, Jamaica and Barbados, said RPP
Also attended by representatives of the Office of Attention to Religious Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the island, Caridad Diego, and officials of the Ministry of Justice .
