Altran participates in the development of the company's hybrid train Talgo, an innovative project born from the need for high-speed areas that currently lack adequate infrastructure.
To this end, the railway company, from its S-130 series has pioneered the development of hybrid train, adding to its initial configuration two cars technicians, equipped with a generator with a diesel engine 1800 kW (2448 hp) each capable of generating enough power that allows movement of the train at the maximum speed allowed on conventional tracks without catenary. Altran participates as responsible for the design and validation of all technical cars, covering all areas: structure, electrical and mechanical installations and interior design. Participation in this project represents a huge technological challenge for Altran also accompanies its new developments in one of the major players in the global rail sector.
